Joyful Throws

Knit, woven or plush: finding your preferred texture.

Size determines how much a throw covers. Texture shapes how it feels to reach for and how it looks when it is resting on your furniture. Here is a practical way to compare the collection.

Knit: let the stitch show

Knitted styles have a visible stitch structure. Fine stitches can blend quietly into a room, while large loops make texture the main feature. Our Cloud Loop Chenille uses large polyester loops for a chunky look. Open Loop Tassel has an open construction and long decorative trim.

Open stitches can catch on sharp jewelry, zippers or rough furniture edges. Arrange the throw without pulling on an individual loop. A loosely folded knit shows its structure without requiring a perfectly squared stack.

Waffle and woven: a more structured surface

A small waffle pattern offers a repeated grid instead of a high pile. Everyday Cotton Waffle uses cotton in a straightforward solid-color layer. Woven and jacquard patterns bring a different kind of detail: the floral Anemone Cotton Jacquard adds a botanical motif to the rectangle.

Choose a small pattern if you want a layer that sits quietly among cushions. A larger floral or geometric motif is more visible when the throw is partly unfolded. The pattern scale matters as much as the color.

Plush: surface depth and softness

Plush styles have a raised surface. Fine ribs read differently from broad channels, even when both throws are white. Compare Fine Rib Fleece with Sculpted Faux Fur: the former has closely spaced ridges, while the latter has a deeper sculpted appearance.

A photo can show pile and pattern, but it cannot tell you a precise warmth rating. We do not assign temperature ratings to the collection. Choose the surface you enjoy and consider the room where you will use it.

Reversible: two surfaces in one layer

A reversible throw lets you choose which surface sits against you or which one faces the room. Quiet Evening Sherpa pairs a simple face with a contrasting sherpa texture. Folding back one corner displays both surfaces without adding another item to your chair.

Separate fiber from construction

Cotton, polyester and acrylic describe fibers. Knit, waffle, fleece and jacquard describe surfaces or construction. One does not establish the other. Use the confirmed material information on the product page and the label supplied with the throw when comparing or caring for a style.

Choose a care routine you can follow

Care instructions vary. Before washing, read the specific label, check whether fringe or loops need special handling, and use only the washing and drying method it allows. If the label is unclear, contact us before cleaning. Avoid pulling loose threads or using an unconfirmed high-heat setting.

For an easy room pairing, choose one feature to lead: a large loop, a botanical pattern or a plush rib. Let the other textiles around it stay a little quieter.
